Website Shows Many Different Ways to Sign A Word in ASL

signforDeaf Newspaper, based in Colorado, has an interesting feature on their website called What’s the Sign For… and shows video clips of words signed in different ways, including international signs.

For example, the sign for “amen” was recorded by over 15 different deaf people from around the world. Although some countries appear to sign “amen” similarly, others have their own unique sign for the word.

The website has over 20 different words and some of the video clips have been submitted by viewers of the website.
