Gazing Grain Press, a feminist poetry press edited by George Mason University MFA alumni and sponsored by GMU’s Fall for the Book festival, is publishing a book of poems by a Deaf poet, Meg Day, and launching her book at a celebratory reading and reception during the Fall for the Book festival, on September 22. Meg’s book includes many images of ASL signs, and the text addresses the definition of “disability” in contemporary society, especially as related to gender.

Meg will be reading selected poems at a reading, which takes place September 22, 2013, from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at Sherwood Center, 3740 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, Virginia.
