Signing Mrs. Claus with Signing Santa (HIS Sign team members Cheri Martinez and Patrick Sullivan)

Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, Virginia, will present American Sign Language (ASL) “Signing Santa Day” on Wednesday, December 4, from 10 am to 9:30 pm for Deaf and hard of hearing children and their families.

ASL Signing Santa and ASL Signing Mrs. Claus will return to the Fair Oaks’ Ice Palace for this new holiday tradition. Set in Fair Oaks’ Grand Court, the Ice Palace sits among twinkling icicles descending from a 65-foot atrium and features a 30-foot ice dome with falling snow, light shows and interactive displays.

Signing Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be assisted by other HIS Sign team members, providing sign language interpreting services in and around the Ice Palace that day to prepare children for meeting Santa and interpreting any questions for families visiting Fair Oaks Mall.

ASL Signing Santa and Signing Mrs. Claus and HIS Sign interpreters will be at the Ice Palace throughout the day and evening of Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 10 am to 9:30 pm.
