Deaf NFL player Derrick Coleman shined on football’s biggest stage as his team demolished the Denver Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium during Super Bowl XLVIII.

No less than Peter King, longtime sportswriter for Sports Illustrated, recognized Coleman’s great play-making in his weekly Monday Morning Quarterback column. Said King:

Now Coleman, who went undrafted in the 2012 NFL draft and was picked up by Seattle, has earned the right to say he’s a member of a Super Bowl champion team and will be rewarded with a Super Bowl ring in the months to come.
