Last month, the Frederick Chamber of Commerce was the first participant and certified organization in the new HIS Sign Certified Deaf Friendly Business program.
This month HIS Sign is opening our Deaf Friendly Business Certification Program to members of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. The training will be held on February 18, 2014 at the Chamber offices.
Participants will learn various aspects of Deaf Culture as it relates to best business practices as well as the best ways to communicate with Deaf customers and some simple signs to make Deaf consumers feel welcome. Participants will receive a Deaf Friendly Business Certificate and window decal to display at their business. They will be listed on our Deaf Friendly Business webpage that will connect to their very own HIS Sign webpage from which there will be a connection to their company’s website as well.
HIS Sign is now opening the program to all businesses and organizations that wish to learn how to provide equal access to their goods and services for the Deaf Community.
