This position reports to the Acting Director, Office of Opportunity, Inclusiveness & Compliance (OIC).
The incumbent will work a Full-time fixed work schedule (Monday – Friday – 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.)
There is no promotion potential for this position.
There are no life insurance benefits available to temporary employees. However, temporary employees do earn annual (vacation) and sick leave.
The candidate is required to manage and implement the Library of Congress’ American Sign Language Interpreting Program and to provide interpreting services for employees and visitors who are deaf and hard of hearing in the Library so that they are given an equal opportunity to fully participate in the Library work environment and programs. In addition, the person in this position provides a variety of Interpreting Services Program (ISP) scheduling and marketing as well as general program support for OIC.
